The selections included running back Geno Hess, offensive lineman Zack Gieg and defensive back Lawrence Johnson. The trio of players helped guide SEMO to the 2022 OVC Co-Championship and a berth in the FCS Playoffs. The All-American selections were voted on by the HERO Sports FCS staff of Sam Herder, Daniel Steenkamer, and Zach McKinnell. Some positions had extra slots due to voting ties.
