Football 8/8/2024 10:10:14 AM 2024 Lindenwood Preview • Preseason Releases: Team Poll, Offensive Player Watch List, Defensive Player Watch List | Media Day Recap The countdown to the start of the 2024 season will include a look at all nine Big South-OVC Football Association teams with content from the Football Media Day event. Lindenwood, in its third season at the FCS level, was picked eighth in the Association's preseason poll. The Lions open the season on Thursday, August 29 against Kansas, the program's first-ever matchup with a FBS opponent. Among the team's returning players is wide receiver Jeff Caldwell, who led the Association with eight receiving touchdowns last season while hauling in 32 catches for 599 yards. Addititonally, Ethan Johnson returns to anchor a veteran offensive line, while Robert Giaimo aims to return to form in the Lindenwood backfield. On the defensive side, Kobe McClendon enters his junior campaign after a strong 2023 season where he compiled a team-leading 6.5 sacks and was a second team all-conference performer. Ethan Stuhlsatz looks to lead the linebacker corps once again; last season, he led the team with 70 tackles, earning a second team all-conference nod.
